Yesterday the Philly Roller Girls hosted the 2nd Annual Vegan Wing Bowl at a local bar. The turnout was incredible and the competition was intense! Of course, a woman took it all. And for the record, she looked fit and healthy. I like to think she exercised right beforehand so that her metabolism would be all fired up. I should have asked.
Eats:
- eggs, sweet potato home fries and a whole wheat everything bagel
- 16 oz orange juice
- protein pumpkin muffin
- PB&J Smoothie with “Green Vibrance” packet
- 3 vegan wings (seitan)
- 1 veggie spring roll
- hummus plate with pita and veggies
- 16 oz Kenzinger
- coconut whipped cream with strawberries and blueberries
- 75 oz water
Activity:
I spent a good chunk of the early afternoon napping. I’m not sure why I napped so long. Dan and I did get up early to make a trip to the burbs, but not early enough to warrant a multi-hour nap. Whatever the case may be, it felt great!
It was also really nice to meet with friends outside of a gym or skating rink, yesterday. Though I have to admit, as the night went on all I wanted to do was be home in my jammies. I stay busy during the week, so my ideal weekend usually involves… trying to not be busy! So exciting. Today is going to be very busy, though. Just lots of driving all over the place. Oh and mandatory Super Bowl viewing. I have to write a paper in response to the super bowl for my Sociology of Kinesiology class. I don’t think I’ve every really watched a super bowl. Did I just admit that to the internet? Woops.
